Being responsible for our staff, partners, beneficiaries, we have adjusted our activities to the current requirements of the situation caused by the COVID19 pandemic. However, those at most risks from restrictions and hazards brought along by the novel coronavirus, require our assistance and support. Living in informal settlements, in most cases even without running water and basic hygiene conditions they need our help to overcome the current crisis.
Together with the partner organisation SKRUG Liga Roma, and thanks to the German Development Cooperation funds, we prepared and distributed food and hygiene to the most vulnerable Roma families in 13 cities and municipalities in Serbia.
In Serbia, the German organisation Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. has been working since 1999 mounting its programmes from relief assistance towards development-oriented projects, while our worldwide portfolio includes all aspects of humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and development since 1981.
