Indian Railways achieved a major milestone as the indigenously built 16-coach Vande Bharat Sleeper train (Version-2) successfully completed its final high-speed trial at 180 km/h on the Kota-Nagda section, overseen by Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety Janak Kumar Garg.
The trial thoroughly tested stability, vibrations, emergency braking, and safety systems, with satisfactory performance across all parameters. Equipped with modern amenities like comfortable berths, automatic doors, advanced toilets, fire safety, CCTV, and energy-efficient systems, the train promises world-class comfort for long-distance overnight journeys.
Plans include launching services on key routes, such as Guwahati-Howrah (likely "Hawara" refers to Howrah).
