BJP's 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots March | Hardeep Singh Puri Leads Protest In Delhi | India Today

Описание: The BJP is holding a march in Delhi over the 1984 anti-Sikh violence, with Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and other party leaders joining the mobilisation. BJP workers and members of the Sikh community have gathered for the march between Tilak Nagar and Hari Nagar, with participants wearing black bands and some reportedly planning to march blindfolded. Families of victims are also expected to take part.

The BJP has questioned the INDIA Bloc's decision to hold its rally on November 1, accusing Congress of disregarding the sentiments of the Sikh community. Congress workers were earlier seen tearing down BJP hoardings related to the 1984 violence, adding to tensions between the parties. The BJP march is taking place alongside the INDIA Bloc's protest at Ramlila Maidan, making November 1 a day of rival political demonstrations in the capital.
