Female college students suspected of wearing bluetooth devices under hijab during exams | MAGLU

Описание: Bihar: The wind of the 'Hijab controversy' reached Bihar today when students of a Muzaffarpur college staged a protest after two girl students were asked to remove their Hijab mid-exam. As per reports, the incident took place at MDDM college in Muzaffarpur. According to the students' account, they were asked to remove their hijab mid-exam on the pretext of checking whether they were wearing a Bluetooth device. When they refused to do so, the students were asked to leave the exam room.
'We were in the classroom and were writing the exam when the teacher asked us to take off the hijab saying that we might be wearing a Bluetooth device. On not taking off the hijab the teacher asked us to leave,' said the student.
On the other hand, college authorities termed it a routine check, which, the students blew out of proportion and gave it a communal angle. MDDM college principal noted that the girl got 'aggressive' when asked to remove her hijab to show whether she was hiding a Bluetooth device. "Students have to keep their mobile phones outside before entering the classroom. When a teacher in the exam hall asked the student to remove the hijab and show if she isn't using a Bluetooth device, the girl didn't show it and got aggressive," said the college principal,

The principal further noted that the girl declared that she won't write the exam but won't show her ears. "Then she started raising this issue on the basis of religion," the principal added.
The principal of MDDM further assured that there's no discrimination based on religion or caste on school premises and that someone provoked the student in the name of religion over the matter.
"It's shocking that a class 11th girl will behave like this. It seems somebody has misdirected her in the name of religion and hijab. There's no discrimination based on religion or caste on school premises," the principal noted further. More details are awaited on the incident.
