Описание: Bihar’s flood crisis is intensifying as the Ganga, Kosi, Gandak and other major rivers rise above danger levels at multiple locations.
The Ganga has crossed the danger mark at 10 places, while severe erosion in Bhagalpur has damaged more than 350 metres of embankment and put nearby infrastructure under threat.
The Son River has also recorded its highest flow of the year, while rising water from Nepal is increasing pressure on the Gandak and Kosi systems. Authorities have opened barrage gates, intensified embankment monitoring and placed NDRF and SDRF teams on standby.
