Amethyst Art Tutorial | How to Draw Crystals | Watercolour and Fineliner Art

Описание: Its February 2023. This is the second of my fineliner tutorial series for this year of 2023. This months drawing is 'Amethyst'. Amethyst is the birthstone for February.... One of the most beautiful and magical stones with so many physical, spiritual and emotional healing properties. In this tutorial, we explore how we go about adding some colour to our fineliner art. In my opinion, watercolour is the best medium to use with fineliner pens. They go very well together! You could probably use watered down acrylic paints too but I haven't tried this yet!

To make this piece of art you will need:

A reference picture or an Amethyst Crystal (or both if it helps)
White Paper (I like to use Mixed Media Paper)
Watercolours (White, Purple, Red, Black (Optional)
Small Paint Brush
Fineliner (Medium Size Nib...I used 0.4)
Jar of Water
A Rag or Tissue (To remove excess water from the brush if necessary)

Tips
Make sure you allow the paint to dry before adding any pen!
*Be careful when adding water/watercolour after you have applied the pen as it can make the ink run. Avoid adding water directly to the pen...unless you want that effect then... happy days!
*Once its done...If you put this up on your wall, it may give your space a calming and relaxing energy.
