Russia may be boosting military support to Syria as reports disclosed that the country has sent several military transport planes to Syria recently.Two Russian Antonov-124 Condor planes and a passenger plane have landed at a Latakia airport in Syria over the past few days, according to AFP.The Russians have also set up modular housing units enough for hundreds of people and portable air traffic control equipment at the airport, AFP reported.“All of this seems to be suggesting that Russia is planning to do some sort of forward air-operating hub out of this airfield,” AFP quoted an anonymous US official as saying.Bulgaria has denied Russian flights from entering its airspace while Greece and Iran granted Russian the rights to use their airspace for delivering humanitarian aid to Syria, the Jerusalem Post reported.However, Syria has denied reports of increased Russian military presence in the country, according to AFP.
