In our ongoing discussion of Dave Hunt’s book, An Urgent Call to a Serious Faith, we’ve been addressing just what the title states—a serious faith. And serious faith has content. It’s neither wishful thinking nor a baseless hope, but rather trust, which is formed because of factual evidence, because of solid reasons that would motivate us to regard the object of our faith as trustworthy. And, of course, serious faith can only be placed in God, who alone is completely trustworthy.
