Russia's Lavrov meets Iran FM over Tehran's SCO membership, nuclear deals and SWIFT alternatives

Описание: Iran is on the cusp of becoming a fully-fledged member of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), an eight-state bloc involving China and Russia.

The summit is scheduled to be held in Uzbek capital of Samarkand this month.

Meanwhile, talks are underway between the Russian and Iranian central banks to integrate their SWIFT-alternative money transfer systems.
