Before borders, titles, or labels, we told stories to survive, to heal, to belong.
Through my work with immigrants around the world, I’ve seen this again and again:
Story crosses what systems, culture, and fear cannot. It translates pain into understanding. It turns isolation into connection.
That’s why I’m deeply grateful to editor and story coach One Brilliant Arc (OBA) who reminded me that authentic storytelling isn’t about performance. It’s about truth. Listening. Presence.
Storytelling, when done honestly, doesn’t just spread ideas.
It spreads help. Healing. Permission.
In a world that rushes to explain, the story invites us to feel.
And when we feel seen, barriers soften, within us and between us.
If you want to make an impact, quiet or bold, you don’t need louder words.
You need the courage to speak the language of story.
