Chairman of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, Sola Olofin has restated his commitment to building a transparent, credible and efficient social insurance institution.
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, Olofin said his leadership vision is anchored on strengthening governance, protecting Nigerian workers and restoring confidence in the Fund, in line with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He noted that the NSITF Board has reinforced its oversight role to ensure accountability, due process and institutional discipline in the day-to-day operations of the Fund.

Olofin who became chairman of the NSITF after his appointment by President Tinubu in 2024 said the Board is repositioning the NSITF for the future through digital transformation, expanded service delivery and improved alignment with Ministries, Departments and Agencies to ensure workers are fairly compensated in cases of workplace injury.

On the proposed amendment bill affecting the NSITF, Olofin clarified that the Board has not been briefed, stressing that any amendment should originate from the Board or relevant social partners.
