So, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 just released, and it’s fantastic. Genuinely an incredible experience, the perfect conclusion to the Guardians trilogy, and honestly probably my favorite MCU movie ever made.

And now, James Gunn moves on from Marvel to head a new direction of the DC Universe, starting with writing and directing Superman: Legacy. Gunn is known for becoming friends with his casts and using a lot of the same actors across his movies. And he’s said that some of the Guardians cast will make an appearance in Superman.

I’ve seen some pushback to the idea of Gunn directing this Superman movie for the DCU, but after how he handled Rocket Raccoon and Adam Warlock in Guardians, he's proven to me he's the perfect person to direct Superman: Legacy
