The Aymara community in Chile graciously opened their ceremonial Uta — a traditional house — to share the profound beauty of Aymara music. We were warmly invited by Andréa Tirado and her husband, who are passionate about preserving and supporting Chilean musical traditions.
Inside the Uta, we were immersed in a magical experience, feeling transported to the heights of the Andes Mountains through the sounds of original instruments like the Zampoñas, Toyos, Charango, Charangón, and Quena. Together, they weave the haunting and soulful melodies of authentic Andina music.
This Global Sound Concert is a tribute to tradition, community, and the timeless spirit of indigenous music.
