That’s what led to this FFXIV Samurai VFX & Animation Mod.

This mod reimagines Samurai by swapping katanas for greatswords and overhauling animations, VFX, and UI to match. Cloud’s charge-based attacks—like Cross Slash and Climhazzard—fit naturally with Iaijutsu, now using SOLDIER’s elemental techniques, replacing the usual slashes with Fire, Lightning, and Ice-infused strikes. Meanwhile, the Kenki system mirrors FF7’s ATB mechanics, keeping the combat flow deliberate and impactful.

🔹 Key Features:

1️⃣ A fresh combat experience with greatswords
Samurai has been adjusted to feel heavier, with new animations and hitstop effects that add weight to certain attacks.

2️⃣ Overhauled VFX, animations & high-quality UI
Custom visual effects, reworked animations, and a fully redesigned UI, featuring new skill icons and a job gauge with Fusion Sword (standard) and ATB bar (simplified) styles.

3️⃣ An expanding selection of greatswords
Includes 246 greatswords, with more to be added as patches roll out. Custom weapon models are also supported.

4️⃣ Cloud Strife-inspired moveset
Features animations from FF7 Remake, Dissidia NT, and other FF games, bringing the SOLDIER combat style into FFXIV.
