Reddit is one of the fastest places to see what users think — but it’s also noisy, biased, and easy to misread.
In this video I build RedditReport: a small tool that takes a Reddit thread URL and generates a structured report with:
Sentiment over time (bucketed so you can see narrative drift)
Upvote context (unweighted vs upvote-weighted views)
Key themes (ranked)
Spot checks (random / top / newest comments with permalinks)
Evidence-backed outputs (so you can sanity-check the model quickly)
The point isn’t “AI can summarise Reddit.” The point is showing the kind of workflow that only works if you design in verification from day one.
I’m using Codex for the build because, right now, I’m consistently getting better one-shot repo outcomes from it for this kind of scaffold.
