This summer, I want to start experimenting a lot more with my art. While I did find my style with those botanical works, I’m looking to level it up. I have a few new ideas that I’m going to test out, and I'm really excited to share this journey with you. Today, I'm diving into one of those experiments, and it's all about stepping out of my comfort zone.
I tend to start with similar shapes and always on a wet canvas. But today, I'm switching it up. Instead of botanical shapes, I’m going to try circular shapes. It’s just an experiment, so let’s see how it goes and how it looks.
This is definitely different from what I usually do, and that’s what makes it so exciting. It’s a bit challenging to create those circles, but the colors are turning out beautifully. It’s only water and fluid acrylics, and I’m really enjoying the process.
My plan was to create circular shapes and then add some flowers on top. I think it could create a lovely circular composition. It’s a bit of a risk, but I’m going for it. The circular shapes remind me of lollipops, which is kind of fun and whimsical. This whole experiment feels so different and weird, but in a good way. It’s pushing me out of my comfort zone, and I’m learning a lot. The flowers on top of the circles aren’t quite what I envisioned, but I see potential in this technique.
