★ upgrading boundaries.

Описание: my childhood friend called me crying the other morning. his child had had a serious asthma attack which resulted in a seizure and hospitalization. his heart stopped. the child is 15. and his heart stopped beating. my friend called me crying. i asked a few questions. and then while we we were still on the phone i found and purchased him a flight so that he could get to his child.

it was 6:30 AM. he'd been on his way to work. now he was crying from fear of possibly losing a child and could barely think. so i did what i could for him and made sure he got to his child that day. then i came too - i prayed. i kept quiet about the situation until i knew his son would make a recovery. i imagined over and over again my friend laughing with his son one day at his wedding.

once his son was released from the hospital, my friend accompanied me home to help me with the work i had to leave undone. i was deeply stressed for my friend and to know that i would have some customers who would be impatient and unsympathetic about the circumstances further delaying their products. he knew how i felt without my having to say anything. and i knew how he felt without his having to say a word to me.

we both helped one another without either of us needing to ask.

these are the only friends i desire or need.
