Question ❓ This FAQ video is about a user who has a Hotpoint FETC70 tumble dryer. Her dryer works for so long, then screams, then stops and starts. Additionally, if the door is open and she presses to start, the same noise is heard. Scream sound comes from the pump area, after some time, it intermittently continues.


Answer 🔧 To address his issues, I would recommend the following steps:

👉 If she is hearing an intermittent screeching noise from the pump area, it might be because the pump has fluff inside or is damaged.
👉 There is a bearing system at the back of the machine that wears out over time. The shaft system can get damaged too.
👉 The phosphorus bronze bearing is designed to wear out but can wear faster if excess fluff builds up inside.
👉 She needs to check the exploded diagrams at the bottom of the page I've created for her.
