501st ECG Vault - Fios1 & News12 - Toys of Hope- 12-18-2018

Описание: The 501st Legion's Empire City Garrison was on News12 and Fios1 for the Toys of Hope event on 12/18/2018 at Oheka Castle in Huntington LI, NY. George Ascher (TI-11710), Toby Basis (IG-21202), Christoph Black (TK-61400), David Braun (TD-6513), Tabitha Davison (DZ-61406), Chris Feehan (TB-6744), Allan Liefke (DZ-97491), Bill Schreiber (TK-20177) and Steve Sheades (TK-20177) were in attendance from the ECG. We were joined by Cate Broomhead (Holdo), Michael DeGuzman (X-Wing), and Christine Evans (Leia) from the Rebel Legion and we appreciated the support. We were also joined by Paul Gastaldo from the R2 Builders who brought his incredible R2-D2 which was a huge hit. The charity brings together over 400 children ages 4-5 from various lower income areas to be treated to a party with a DJ, Star Wars Characters, Dancing, Bouncy House, Snacks, and Celebrities to make it a day that they will never forget. Celebrities included Noelle Foley (Holy Foley) and other reality stars. We greeted the kids as they came in and mingled with them, taking photos and interacting with them. It all culminated with a visit from Santa and free toys for all the kids. It was an incredibly rewarding and fun experience for all of us.
