This building is much older than the elevator. I'm unsure if this elevator replaced an older elevator.
This is a DC motor-generator traction elevator with relay logic controller. The replaced fixtures behave oddly. Both call buttons light up when one is pressed (the controller may or may not be nonselective, as in only a single call button on intermediate floors). The car buttons for locked off floors stay lit up when pressed, and may not go out until the elevator travels to the locked off floors. The original car floor indicator survives alongside a digital car indicator, and the arrows on the original car indicator still light up, but the floor lights don't work (unsure if burnt out, or disconnected).
