I was visiting the Imam Hussein Mosque in Karbala, Iraq when I saw people bringing coffins into the mosque.

An iIncredible ritual to witness how Shia Muslims pay the last respect to someone who just died.

As part of the funeral they carry the coffin around the mosque and walk nearby the Imam Hussein shrine in circles.

While in Karbala I learned so much about this side of Islam and the differences between Shia and Sunni Muslims. ❤️🇮🇶
