It's completely normal for AC to drain water outside of your home/CAR (via the condensate drain). It's NOT normal for your AC to drain any amount of water inside your home/CAR.
Sometimes, the drain on the bottom of your car becomes damaged or clogged, so that water backs up. It will then flow into your vehicle itself, typically pooling under the dash and near the front floor mats.
