Don't get intimidated by big furniture pieces at thrift stores! YOU CAN MAKE THEM BEAUTIFUL with Iron Orchid Designs! See just how easy it is in this painted table makeover where a plain, old drop-leaf table is transformed with some IOD stamps and furniture transfers.
In this edited Facebook Live tutorial by IOD stockists (and mother-daughter duo) Robin and Crissy of Bird's Nest Gifts & Antiques in Bryant, TX, they pre-prepped the table with a coat of antique white paint.
Using china blue chalk-style paint, they stamped the top to make it look like old European tile. Then they rubbed on handpainted lemons with luscious green leaves and little white blossoms for a pop of color.
If you love the yellow and blue decor combo - you're gonna love this trash to treasure look inspired by old china plates.
This technique with the Cubano stamp can also be used to make cheap tile look expensive - whether it's on a floor (hello, paint your laminate or vinyl floor and stamp) or you want to update an outdated tile backsplash. There are just so many possibilities! (To see it on a floor, check out this video: • IOD Decor Stamped™ Tile Entry Makeover us...
