5620 Federal Street was built as a storage warehouse in Southwest Detroit next to the Michigan Central Railroad, though it had a run-in with the Purple Gang in the 1930s that led to the arrest and conviction of a handful of men who were making and selling illegal booze. After that, it was used for various purposes, eventually becoming Kidz Playland. Since the business closed, it’s been scrapped and vandalized heavily.
