During surgery, blood doesn't leak everywhere due to a combination of advanced techniques and tools. Surgeons use modern techniques to make relatively smaller incisions and carefully control bleeding.
They employ methods such as
Electro cauterisation- which uses heat to seal blood vessels & stops bleeding.
Additionally, surgical clamps and sutures are used to close off vessels temporarily or permanently.
The operating room environment is meticulously controlled to ensure cleanliness and visibility, with suction devices and sponges used to manage any blood that does escape, keeping the surgical area clear and minimizing blood loss.
