London's Air Ambulance MD902 helicopter takeoff from William Parnell Park in London G-LNDN

Описание: This MD902 was built in 2008 with a serial number of 900/00125 meaning it was the 125th Explorer ever produced by MD Helicopters.
After production in 2008 it was registered with MD helicopters as N9043L for testing purposes, then N999GQ until September of 2008 when it was sold to Gulf Helicopters and re-registered as A7-NHA. It then flew in Doha, Qatar for Gulf Helicopters and from 2009 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for Hamad Medical Corporation, still operated by Gulf Helicopters. In 2013 it continued medical operation under LifeFlight operated by Gulf Helicopters and was then sold to London's Air Ambulance in August 2015 where it has been operating ever since. At the time of this video London's Air Ambulance was in the process of retiring their MD902 fleet as part of their fleet modernization efforts, to be replaced with H135 helicopters. This was one of the last missions of this iconic machine that helped save so many lives both in the Middle East and in London.

The MD Helicopters MD Explorer is a light twin-engined utility helicopter designed and initially produced by the McDonell Douglass Helicopter Systems. The initial model, the MD 900, was joined by an improved successor, the MD 902, during the late 1990s. The helicopter is noted for having no tail rotor, using the NOTAR technology instead, giving its tail a unique appearance and quieter sound profile than a more traditional tail rotor. Its NOTAR technology made it an attractive choice for HEMS (helicopter emergency medical services) operation and was used by various air ambulances around the world.
