My V4.0 spam attack mod effected a bunch of states that altered air physics, animation times, and bound movement (immediately after hitting the ground)
Desko's V5.0 manages to restore basically a complete E3 homing spam.
He also managed to restore (a still WIP) homing gravity from the XBLA/TGS06/E3 demos, AND bound movement individually!
Both are still a WIP since homing currently cannot damage objects which definitely needs to change, and the bound movement should also effect going down not just up, for those SA2-like physics
As someone who has seen a lot of E3 gameplay comparing the flips and spam mod to the e3 demo, both (while really amazing discoveries and super fun to play with) are actually not perfectly accurate, plz make no mistake this is still a humongous improvement and I love this, i'm so grateful we have people so dedicated on the team to fix this game!, but ill probably have to make a side by side comparison so you guys can see what im talking about, because by itself, you cant rotate sonics model during a homing recovery (for the spam mod by itself which this video doesn't show) when you could in the E3 spam attack so atm, if you enable this homing spam alone with no other mods merged, its harder to lock onto the next enemy as you'll probably see during this linked video: • Project Homing Spam + Homing Flips merged ...
(spam v4 could rotate and spam as buggy as it was) (this video merges other mods which is why I CAN rotate during homing recovery just like the e3 homing recovery)
The flips are imo kinda better than E3, instead of resetting the animation once you hit the ground then do another homing attack and it shows homing flip 1, this mod literally stores which homing recovery animation should play next be it 1, 2, or 3. After say 2 plays and you land, you could technically not homing attack for the next 5 minutes and progress with the stage then do a homing and anim 3 would play. Its perfectly stored and i love this, idk the reset is cool i guess, and the homing clear in retail does this too but it seemed a bit inconsistent to me in terms of which animation would reset and when it would reset but thats just me anyway, really hope we'll see the homing recovery animations transition into the fall animation in a future mod, this was how the animations were originally meant to play after all so It would complete sonics animation set with it, but I enjoy this in the mean time!
