Making an Amazing ulu Knife from Old Bearing | Complete Knife Making Process
In this video I made an amazing and unique ulu Knife using an old bearing.
First I heated the bearing in fire until it became red hot.
After that I carefully cut the outer edge of the bearing using a chisel and shaped it into an ulu Knife blade design.
Once the blade shape was ready I used a grinder to smooth refine and sharpen the blade properly.
After grinding I performed heat treatment by reheating the blade and quenching it which increased its strength and edge retention.
Next I made a wooden handle and fitted it securely onto the blade.
After fixing the handle I did final grinding from the bottom side and carried out several experiments to improve the balance finish and overall look of the knife.
In the end I successfully created a strong sharp and beautiful handmade ulu Knife from recycled bearing steel.
