Scarlet, Adorable Chihuahua Puppy, Gets Ready for her Forever Home

Описание: Little Scarlet is a 9 week old Chihuahua puppy. She is getting ready to go to her forever home in the bay area.

She spent most of her early life, from week 1 to week 8, living with my affiliate Stephanie. At about 8 weeks, each puppy comes back to my house so I can get them ready for the transition for the last few weeks before leaving.
This includes a vet check, beginning her puppy vaccines, and getting her ready to travel.
During this time, and even before, I’m also screening the family that will be adopting the puppy.

I consider the makeup of the family. Do they have small children? Do they have a high-energy home, or a calm home. Do they work full time out of the house, leaving the puppy alone for hours at a time? Are they ready for the responsibility of a sweetie pie? I’m very concerned where my sweetie pies go, and I have had to say no to some families.
I also prepare an instructional video for each family that goes over how to set up the habitat, the food they have been eating and how to continue with that, I talk about her vitamins, and setting up household routines.

Even after the family adopts the puppy, I’m still available to assist with the transition. I have gotten phone calls at all hours of the night because the puppy isn’t sleeping, or is crying, or won’t eat, etc! But I’m there to help make it smooth. And honestly, it involves training the family to be good doggie parents.
