2013 CCC Split Labrie MSL- Berkeley, Ca

Описание: Here's a 2013 CCC LET2 with a Split 60/40 Labrie Expert 2000 MSL body atop of it. Ecology Center runs a fleet of these, to collect residential recyclables throughout the city of Berkeley. Overall, these seem to work pretty well, and the recycling seems to be fairly clean, which is a nice bonus.

As some of you may notice, some of the split carts have blue lids on both sides. This is to comply with SB1383. The blue lids have labels on them, indicating which side is for bottles and cans, and whish side is for paper. Overall, it appears to make sorting more confusing than before, not to mention the stickers can fall off and fade, so there's that.

The new IPL's which seem to have been replacing the old ones at a rather fast rate, also seem to fall apart pretty easily. While filming this video, I came across a handful that already had the divider fallen out.

Aside from the cart situation going downhill with cheap bins and confusing labeling to comply with state law, I still find these MSLs entertaining. The Euro-Tipper/MSL combo is very unique in my opinion. Not to mention a lot of the bins need to be shaken quite a bit to get all the cardboard out, which can also be pretty fun to watch at times.
