Описание: How to find mean,median and mode in just 5 minutes is explained with example.

What is Arithmetic Mean?
Arithmetic mean is used to measure the central tendency of data.It is also known as average or mean.
Mathematical Representation:
Arithmetic mean can be mathematically represented by X-Bar.
How to calculate the arithmetic mean?
Formula for finding the Arithmetic mean of n observations is:
Arithmetic mean=ΣX/n
Where n is the number of observations.
Arithmetic mean of UnGrouped Data:
Mean of ungrouped data can be found by using the formula mentioned above.To skip ahead example is at 01:00

What is Median?
Median is a measure of central tendency.Median is defined as middle of arranged set of data or middle of sorted list of numbers.It actually divides the data in two equal parts.
Mathematical Notation of Median:
Mathematically symbol used for median is x̃ “x-tilde".
How to Find Median?
There are two methods of finding median for different set of observations as:
1)Median of Even number of observations
2)Median of odd number of observations
For Odd number of Observation:
In order to find the median of odd number of observation,two steps are required.
Step1: First arrange the data from smallest to largest.
Step2: Use formula for finding the median of sorted list of step 1.
Median=x̃={(n+1)/2}th term
Where n is the number of observation.
For Even number of observations:
For Even number of observations use the same steps as for odd number of observations.But the formula is as follows:
Median=x̃ =1/2[size of [n/2th +(n+2)/2th] observation].

What is mode in statistics?
Mode is one of the measure of central tendency besides mean and median.Mode is a statistical term that refers to the most frequently occurring observation in a set of data.It is also defined as an observation that occurs maximum number of times.

How to find mode of ungrouped data?

Mode of ungrouped data or the data that is not in the form of frequency distribution can be found by pick up the value that occurs maximum number of times.So mode of ungrouped data will be:
Mode=Most frequent observation
Example of finding mode of ungrouped data is also explained with example in the video at 03:30
