On July 16th, I've finally decided to come to this crossing again after two years due it's grade separation finally breaking ground and supposedly completed by 2025, so I will get this crossing as much as I can in the future while it's still here. No freight trains did not pass while I was there, but these a Metrolink and an Amtrak came by, so I recorded those instead.

Crossing fans, especially those in California, would know about this crossing. This crossing has had so many accidents and many upgrades over the years. This crossing was just for Rosecrans Avenue as Marquardt Avenue didn't exist here yet. The original signals were to believe two WRRS signals with 8" lights, wishbone gates, and Griswold/RACO or WRRS mechanical bells. In the late 1960s to early 1970s, Marquardt Avenue was built through here, making the four intersections crossing today. ATSF installed WRRS and Safetran signals with RACO and Safetran mechanical bells, 7" gatelights, and wooden gates. By the 1990s, all of the lights were replaced with Safetran/Hawker Siddely lights by either late ATSF or BNSF. This crossing pretty much stayed the same until early 2012, when it was rebuilt with the current main signals today. By late 2019, for some reason BNSF decided to replace the gateless signals and replaced them with gated pedestrain signals since a third track was built here, guessing to make this crossing more protected while it's still here, since this happened 3 years after it was announce the crossing would be grade separated.
Since my last visit in March 2020, the only thing that happened is that the close GS type 2 electronic bell is dead and now that I've seen my last video here, it's seems it's actually been dead since at least 2020, but BNSF never bothered to replace it as groundbreaking has just begun at this crossing a month ago.
