I picked my own creation on SteveReen during the U.P.S. 2 StepMania tournament. It was a mashup of gameplay from The Witness and traditional dance games.
The U.P.S. dance game tournament series encourages competitors to submit their own content ahead of time to create a unique (and often silly, or surreal, or etc.) tournament experience. I spent three weeks in October 2016 using StepMania's Lua scripting interface to recreate aspects of The Witness as part of my submission.
Players would be challenged to each solve three randomly selected puzzles (from a pool of 60) in about one minute. If a player succeeded in solving all three of her puzzles, she would be rewarded by being able to see the arrows that started coming at about 1 minute in. If a player did not succeed in solving all three puzzles, he would not be able to see his arrows and would lose the match. Each player's arrows were randomly selected to prevent players from simply looking at their opponent's half of the screen.
I picked this on Steve because I knew we were both huge fans of The Witness, and I thought it would make for an interesting experience. Though I ended up solving all three of my puzzles way ahead of Steve, he ended up scoring higher during the arrows, and went on the win this match.

The "screen-capture" overlay in the upper-right corner is not from a true line-out capture (there was none). I attempted to recreate our match post-tournament, on my laptop, because the actual screen in this video we got was somewhat obscured by glare. Thus, it's just there to give you a feeling of the particular puzzles we each encountered.
