Today, we take you to the famous Meiji jingu shrine in Tokyo ⛩️
It's a shinto shrine dedicated (as its name suggests) to the Emperor Meiji and the Empress Shoken. It was built in 1920.
From Harajuku station, we will walk towards the main buildings of the shrine and we will go through huge torii gates made in wood.
The first torii at the entrance of the shrine is actually the largest wooden torii in the world (height = 12m, width 17.1m). 😮
