Russell explores why over 500 people have been to space but only three have been to the bottom of the ocean. He discusses the limits we have to overcome, including the conditions of the deepest oceans and outer space to find that it’s harder to go underwater than you might think...
Russell has been an oceanographer, a science teacher, and a punk-rock guitarist. As well as working as an Educational Consultant and Presenter for the Incredible Oceans project, he is also researching phytoplankton dynamics at Bath’s WEIR Unit.
