Tucked away on the northern coast of South America, Suriname is one of the least-visited countries in the region yet it’s one of the most culturally unique. From deep rainforest and river life to a capital shaped by Indigenous, African, Asian, and European influences, this country doesn’t feel like anywhere else on the continent.
