8HP Swapping My BMW E39 Touring

ZF8HP50 Swap on my E39 has taken some time and troubleshooting; however, I think the end result is worth it.

The car is future-proofed with an incredible gearbox that allows for comfortable cruising and spirited driving, with the benefit of better fuel consumption.

This video serves as a general guide and not an absolute how-to, as all cars and models will vary

Propshaft/Driveshaft notes:

F10 front propshaft (Cut off flange) | Sizes vary - research
E39 Propshaft must be steel to allow for modification and flange welding, make sure diff side CV also is correct if buying steel prop, as mine was different and needed to be cut off my original aluminium prop.

Shift Gaiter from manual (Easier to mount shifter, auto plastic cover fouls)
