Today we're going to be taking a look at part number IMF17637. This is the BoatBuckle Pro Series Kwik-Loc Gunwale Tie-Down Strap. The heavy duty strap is going to firmly secure your boat's gunwale to your trailer. It's going to feature the SUR-Grip rubber-coated Kwik-Loc buckle. It's very easy to grip and control with one hand. The material of this strap is going to be seat belt quality polyester webbing.

It's going to have a max load strength, or break strength, of twelve hundred pounds with a safe working load limit of four hundred pounds. It's got the nice protective pad underneath the buckle. It's a little bit wider than the strap and the buckle. That's designed to protect the finish on your boat. It's also going to feature two rubber-coated steel S hooks. The rubber-coating's a great feature to have because it's going to protect the finish on your boat as well.

Here on each hook it's going to have the built-in keepers that's going to prevent the S hooks from disconnecting. It's going to feature the built-in closure patch, right here. This is designed to go over the buckle and it can also be used to secure any excess strap that you may have. It's got the reflective material right here so it's going to add to your safety at night. The strap itself is going to be two inches wide by twenty feet in total length.

With this part number you're going to get one strap. It's a really simple system to operate, all you really need to do is load your boat onto your trailer, then you'd open up the buckle, connect the bottom hook to the side of your trailer's frame, and then connect the top hook to an anchor point on the gunwale of the boat, take the end of the strap and loop it through the buckle portion, and then turn the buckle down to tighten down the strap. When you turn that buckle down you need to make sure that this portion back here, this is the actual buckle, this right here's just a handle, so this buckle needs to be snapped down into a locked or closed position. You'll kind of feel it snap or hear it click into place. Then you can secure the opposite gunwale with another strap. Again, this part number's going to include one strap. Please keep in mind that gunwale tie-downs should always be used along with a winch strap and a set of transom, stern, or bow tie-downs.

All straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit. Once you have it tight and secure you can take any excess strap that you may have, place it over top of the buckle, and then secure it with the built in hook and loop fastener.
