Trying FAIRTRADE Chocolate (Honest Review)

Описание: Supporting the fair trade label is important to us but so is being honest and in this video we are going to be trying a a variety of fair trade chocolate to find out which one is the best. This is our 100% honest review on honestly made chocolate produced by leading fair trade chocolate brands to help you discover which company is crafting the best fair-trade chocolate.

Brands we try in this video are: Divine chocolate, seed and bean, and chocolate and love. I ordered these bars from Ocado (the online retailer) and selected flavours that you wouldn't typically find in your local supermarket. When you buy fair trade chocolate, it means that the farmer who produces the cocoa is paid an honest wage. Most of these bars are vegan, organic and dark. The packaging was interesting, it looked like plastic but was actually plastic free and was instead made from compostable wood.

Lemon and cardamom - The refreshing lemon flavour was subtle and the Indian cardamom spice added a freshness.

Lavender - This chocolate was not my favourite just because lavender is usually associated with fragrance for washing and is not normally eaten with chocolate. The taste was too floral and was too much like eating perfume.

Pomegranate - One of the best chocolate flavours I have ever tasted, it is comparable to mint chocolate and orange chocolate with little bits of chewy pomegranate.

Darl chocolate with pretzel and caramel - Salty sweet crisp combination was delicious striking the perfect balance between sweet and savoury.

Espresso coffee - I do love coffee and paired with chocolate, the taste was great, the flavour was strong and exceeded all expectations.

Refreshing lemon - This dairy free bar by Divine was disgusting, the chocolate was overly bitter and there was no flavour. It had a smell similar to washing up liquid and was possibly one of the worst chocolate bars I have ever tasted.

Quinoa and blueberry - This vegan chocolate bar by Divine was similar to the refreshing lemon in the sense that the flavour was bad and the cocoa was too bitter. After trying these two bars I would avoid Divines vegan range. The texture of the bar was weird and cringed Sadie out.

Raspberry - The fruity chocolate bar with small pieces of freeze dried raspberry was a great balance between sour fruit and sweet chocolate. I loved this chocolate bar.
