This track was born from my university experience
where authority was loud, humiliation was normalized,
and respect was demanded instead of earned.
Orientation wasn’t about guidance.
It was about yelling, intimidation, and traditions no one questioned.
Paying for seniors. Staying quiet. Obeying, even when it felt wrong.
This song is my rebellion.
Not against people —
but against a culture that teaches us to accept disrespect
just because someone came before us.
“Seniority” is for anyone who’s ever:
Been scared to speak up
Been treated smaller because of hierarchy
Been told “that’s just how it is”
Power doesn’t come from seniority.
It comes from empathy.
