While the original Criterion Games dev team behind the critically acclaimed "Burnout 3: Takedown" and its sequel "Burnout Revenge" were working on what is now called "Burnout Paradise" for the PS3 and X360; EA Bright Light was tasked by EA to develop a new, separate burnout game for the PS2 and PSP. With only less than 2 years to develop a game they have no experience with, EA Bright Light needed to do everything they could do to hit the deadline. As a result, EA Bright Light may have had to recycle assets from previous burnout games to save time.
In this video, we are going to look at one of the many tracks from Burnout Dominator that cut, copied, and modified sections previous existing tracks. Black Gold Highway has a particular section that is an exact mirror copy of Burnout Revenge's Eastern Bay, but this isn't the only track that it had cannibalized.
