Описание: At 3:10am on 7th June 1917 the entire Western Front was rocked by arguably the loudest man-made explosion in the history of the world to that point, as a series of enormous subterranean mines killed thousands and literally shattered the German stronghold that was the Messines Ridge. Within moments, allied troops were charging into the attack to drive the stunned defenders from their trenches. Amongst those troops were the highly regarded men of the Australian Imperial Force. This is the story of the Battle of Messines.
