Manipur Violence: Constable’s Wife, Children Among Six Missing After Violent Clashes In Jiribam

Описание: A Manipur police constable, Laishram Herojit, is enduring sleepless nights after his wife, two children, mother-in-law, and two other family members went missing following violent clashes in Jiribam. Herojit had sent his wife Heitonbi, who was expecting their second child, and their daughter to stay with family in Jiribam last year for safety. However, during Monday’s gunfight between security forces and suspected Hmar militants, six members of his family reportedly vanished from their relief camp, with neighbors indicating they were taken across a river by armed men. Security forces are conducting search operations, but their whereabouts remain unknown.
