Elements of two of the seven wonders of the Ancient World — the mausoleum in Halicarnassus and the temple of Artemis in Ephesus. In the museum you can see the mummies of ancient Egypt and the Portland vase, a work of ceramic art made during the reign of Emperor Octavian Augustus.
We are going south to the Vatican Museums. The complex of museums in the Vatican, which houses an extensive collection of works of art collected by the popes. Very close to Florence is the Uffizi Museum with a rich collection of legendary paintings "The Birth of Venus" by Botticelli. The painting gives an idea of da Vinci's early works, and the signs of the artist's signature style are clearly visible in it. "Medusa" by Caravaggio. The canvas work mounted on the shield is an exploration of the form of one of the most compelling characters in mythology. "Madonna with the Goldfinch" by Raphael.
