Dehene, a small village on the outskirts of Mumbai where I spent the day following the story of Rice. From growing the paddy to ploughing the fields during the monsoon, the locals explained the whole process of harvesting the rice and finally how it makes it to our plates. A day well spent with the local villagers learning farming, enjoying their local cuisine in their homes which is part of a community-based rural tourism hereby enriching the experience for city dwellers.
