At twenty eight seconds past 5:16 on the damp evening of Saturday 23rd November 1963, after a long (and difficult) gestation, something magical was born...
Using frame-by-frame traditional animation, utilising plenty of Colour Separation Overlay and a few tricks of my own, I've tried to recreate what (for me) is the spirit of the twenty-four minutes and thirty-five seconds which began with a policeman patrolling a fog-bound street.
This is my two-minute tribute to the events which took place at 76 Totter's Lane all those years ago and to the people which made them happen.
