Welcome back Everyone!
Today I have kind of a crazy project in mind! I want to make a pair of socks, but I make to make every tools that I will need to make them. from a turkish spindle made of walnut branches from my yard to knitting needles and sewing needle for the toes! let's see how far we get and how succesfull we are!
in this first episode I craft the turkish spindle and manage to spin 145m of 3 ply sockyarn. 2 of those plaies are made with Cheviot sheep wool and the other one is Dorset wool. I did try with some alpaca fibers but I was unsuccessful. all of that wool is raw with lanolin, but we lightly scour it to set the twist at the end
