This is a worked example on calculating acceleration. This is a popular question for students to be asked and this one is specific to calculating the acceleration of a car.
The question is as follows:
Calculate the acceleration of a car that is initially travelling at 60 mph (26.8 m/s) and then takes 3.5 seconds to come to a rest.
