This is the final level of the game, but it's pretty much an exit point right in front of you.
You need all the gems in the game to access the gem path, and receive the alternate endings for the characters. The alternate endings are okay, but I think I actually prefer the canon ending now! :-D The alternate ending writes off some of the characters, so it's really weird to see them back in future games.
It's basically two alternate cutscenes, and a bunch of epilogues detailing what happened to the characters. So you need to save it for the final thing you do, pretty much.
