Kunal Kamra said that "units job description is scary at multiple levels". Kamra, whose satire leans heavily on criticising the Modi government, has therefore challenged the formation of a fact-check unit. The matter is currently being heard in the Bombay High Court, and today the High Court agreed with Kunal Kamra that the proposed fact-check unit does not seem to protect fair criticism of the government through parody or satire.
